It started in the introduction of Klasika F1 in 2006. Shifting of OP to hybrid was triggered by the introduction of hybrid waxy sweet corn in the market, Sweet Pearl F1.

To cater the growing demand for this type of waxy corn in 2013, a hybrid bi-color waxy sweet corn Purple Sweet F1 was launched. East-West Seed hybrid waxy sweet corn varieties are known for their uniform quality ear, sweetness, tenderness, with the right stickiness just perfect for Filipino taste.
