Cathlea is East-West Seed's Chief People Officer with extensive HR experience, both at country and regional level. Cathlea Barote is the Chief People Officer (CPO) of East-West Seed. As CPO of East-West Seed, Cathlea is driving East-West Seed’s global talent agenda, capability development, and HR operational excellence. She is a passionate advocate for inclusivity and diversity in the workplace, particularly championing initiatives that support working women so they can realize their fullest potentials and make meaningful impact in their workplaces. With over two decades of human resources leadership experience, Cathlea's expertise spans talent management, HR strategy, and organizational development across Southeast Asia and the Asia Pacific region. She held key HR leadership roles at Avon and Baxter International Inc., and worked across industries like manufacturing, consumer goods, and technology. Prior to her current role, Cathlea served as Group Head of Talent at East-West Seed from 2018 to 2021, where she exemplified the qualities of a "One Team" leader, demonstrating a genuine passion for people, leading by example, and fostering strong team synergy. Cathlea holds a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines.
