Mary Ann is the Public Affairs Lead for the East-West Seed Group. In this role, she represents EWS globally in various policy-influencing platforms and industry associations that are relevant to the company.

“I like most the philosophy that Simon Groot espoused - serving the farmers and increasing their income from vegetable farming. To this day, each and every employee works hard to keep this mission alive.”

Before starting her journey with East-West Seed, Mary Ann had a long career in the government, where she held key positions in the Department of Agriculture as Regional Director and Executive Director of the Agricultural Training Institute. 

In November 2000, she took on the challenge to lead East-West Seed Philippines when she accepted East-West Seed Founder Simon Groot’s invitation to join the company as the country’s General Manager.
